Wedgwood Multicolored Transferware Plate Embossed Border Summertime Fishing Scenes Vintage Spode China Minor stainsI love the embossed relief type border around this plate. It really sets it apart and beautifully frames the scene of two men sitting atop tree trunk fishing at a lake in a rural Italian landscape. Around the border are delicate rosebuds and floral blooms. The glaze on this plate is a creamy color, reminding me of Wedgwood's early cream ware. It's got a lovely patina! Hand touches of periwinkle, blue, brown, gold, green and red. Measures 9 3 8"
